- The youth squad will sign for four seasons and will be in Vigo on Monday to close the deal
- The defender would leave for free but the Barca club would reserve a percentage of a future sale and a repurchase option
Barca and Celta have already reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Oscar Mingueza. It was one of the options that were on the table and in recent weeks, the three parties have been negotiating conditions that have found the final ‘yes’. The canterano will travel to Vigo on Monday to close the operation.
Barca has issued a statement announcing, already officially, the agreement without specifying details of the economic conditions, limiting itself to explaining that everything is already pending the signing of the contracts and that Mingueza passes the pertinent medical review. Celta was one of the teams fighting for him, as well as Trabzonspor, who pushed until the end. His representative, Josep Maria Orobitg, has already been processing all the documentation.
There is no amount in between, in principle. The player would leave Barça for free, he will sign for four seasons, and the Barca club reserves a percentage of a future sale and a repurchase option. There had been talking that the Galician club was going to pay three million euros, but in the end, it has not been like that.
Mingueza was one of the five players that Xavi Hernandez ruled out for the US tour. Of all of them, the still Barca player was clear that his future did not pass through Camp Nou and he began to look for a way out.
