 Leicester City qualified for the quarter-finals of the European Conference, despite losing to its French host Rennes 2-1, in the second leg of the round of 16 of the competition, which brought them together on Thursday evening at Roisun Park.

Rennes scored the first goal through his player Benjamin Bourgede, after only 9 minutes of the start of the match, before Leicester City equalized through Wesley Fofana in the 51st minute.

Flavian Tait scored Rennes’ winning goal in the 76th minute, but it was not enough to qualify, especially after the Foxes team won the first leg, 2-0.

In another match, the French Marseille advanced to the same role, after repeating its victory over its host Basel team, with a score of 2-1, in the match that brought them together at the “St. Jacob’s Park” stadium, and the French team had achieved the same result in the first leg.

PSV Eindhoven qualified for the quarter-finals, after their overwhelming victory over Copenhagen, Denmark, by 4-0, and the first leg ended in a 4-4 draw.
