And newspaper reports stated, that the European Union punished Atletico Madrid with a partial closure of its stadium with a capacity of at least 5,000 spectators in one upcoming match at its home in the Champions League, due to the rioting and behavior of its fans and throwing things during the confrontation with Manchester City.

The match between Atletico Madrid and Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final first leg ended with the Citizens winning with a clean goal at Al-Ittihad Stadium.

The European Union has appointed German referee Daniel Spit as a referee for the Atletico Madrid match against Manchester City, which will be held on Wednesday.

In another context, the Spanish team, Atlético de Madrid, received a surprising defeat against Real Mallorca, with a goal for nothing, in the confrontation that brought them together yesterday, Saturday, at the “Iberostar” stadium, in the 31st round of the La Liga competition for the 2021-2022 season.

Atlético Madrid is fourth in La Liga, with 57 points, behind Real Madrid, Seville and Barcelona, ​​respectively, while Mallorca is 17th with 29 points.
