Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that facing Peterborough United in the English Premier League is a final, stressing that he expects a difficult confrontation despite the latter’s suffering in the Champions League.
Manchester City will meet Peterborough United, tomorrow, Tuesday, at the “London Road” stadium, in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Guardiola said in his statements to the club’s official website about the match, “I expect a difficult test from Peterborough, despite their current suffering in the Champions League.
The Manchester City coach added: “We will prepare well today, and tomorrow we will go and try to reach the quarter-finals.”
Guardiola talked about the position of the Ukrainian player Zinchenko from participating despite the current war in his country, saying, “Certainly he is fine, I think it would be good for him to play and show why he is here because he is a great player.”
And about the readiness of the Manchester City players to participate in the match, Guardiola explained, “The goalkeeper Zack Stephen is still not available to play,” he is not ready yet. He is still training in the gym.”
The Manchester City coach continued, “Tomorrow we will decide with the goalkeeper coach about who will guard the goal. Tomorrow we will talk about that.”
