The goals of Senegal’s match against Cape Verde in the African Nations Cup


The star Sadio Mane led Senegal to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, after defeating his counterpart Cape Verde by a clean double, in the meeting that brought them together on Tuesday evening, at the “Quekong” stadium, in the 16th round of the tournament, which is currently being held in Cameroon and will continue until the sixth of next February.

Senegalese star Sadio Mane almost scored the first goal, in the first minute, but Cadbe Verde’s shot was blocked by the left post.
And Patrick Andrade, a player for the Cape Verdean national team, was subjected to a direct expulsion after returning to the “VAR” video technology, after his violent intervention on Babi Guy, a player for the Teranga Lions.
In the second half, Cap Verde goalkeeper Josemar Fosinha was sent off in the 57th minute, after his strong intervention on Sadio Mane, so Cap Verde completed the match with nine players.
The Teranga Lions managed to take advantage of their opponent’s numerical shortage, and Sadio Mane scored the first goal in the 63rd minute with a superb shot.
Mane was replaced in the 70th minute due to his inability to complete the match, affected by the strong intervention of the Cape Verde goalkeeper.
Ahmedou Bamba Deng added the second goal of the Senegalese team in the second minute of time instead of wasted for the match.
The Teranga Lions have qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Nations for the fourth time in a row. Senegal is waiting for the winner of the meeting between Mali and Equatorial Guinea in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations.
