Samsung TV Plus service is now available in 12 countries

Samsung has announced plans to expand its free Samsung TV Plus service to 12 countries around the world.

The new expansion enables the service to reach Australia and Brazil, in addition to existing markets, such as: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy and Korea.

Samsung TV Plus free service now offers 742 channels and provides access to more than 60 million Samsung Smart TVs.

What makes this service an interesting option is that it is completely free, and provides access to news, sports, entertainment, and more.

You don’t need a subscription or credit card to use it, just an internet connection and a compatible Samsung TV.

According to the company, Samsung TV Plus, a free smart TV service, collaborates with nearly 300 global broadcast networks, content platforms and digital creators.

The expansion will follow the launch of the free smart TV service across select Galaxy devices in the United States.

“We have seen how consumers spend time at home and how much they value accessing content throughout the pandemic,” said Seline Sangsook Han, vice president of visual screen business at Samsung.

She added: We have seen televisions become an entertainment hub, news source, and on-demand partner, and with our recent expansion into new markets, we hope that the free Smart TV service will continue to be a premium home destination for Samsung Smart TV users around the world.

According to Samsung, the service is currently reaching 15 million active users thanks to recent expansions and new content partnerships, and as it becomes available to more consumers, this number is likely to grow.

After the new expansion, Samsung said: It plans to bring the service to Mexico, India, Sweden and more European countries in 2021.

The South Korean company stated that Galaxy device owners can expect additional functionality, as well as bring the service to more additional Galaxy devices in the coming months.

Since its launch in 2015, the service has become one of the most popular streaming services with more than 15 million active users, and has been integrated into Samsung’s Smart TV platform.
