Roma club announced the signing of Turkish player Zeki Celik until June 30, 2026, at the request of Jose Mourinho, the team coach.
“We are pleased to announce that Turkish player Celik has joined the ranks of the Wolves, and we are proud to continue to raise awareness in the search for missing children around the world,” Roma said in an official statement.
Roma added, “Zaki Celik signed with the club until June 30, 2026, and also chose to wear the number 19 shirt with the Giallorossi.
While Celik said in his first statement: “It is an honor for me to play in this great club. I have great ambitions and want to help the team succeed. I also feel focused and ready, and I will never give up and always fight for everything on the field.”
Fabrizio Romano, an expert on transfers of players and coaches in Europe, revealed on his account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “The value of the deal is 7 million euros.”
Romano added: “Mourinho wanted to sign Celek since he was working at Tottenham.”
Roma had earlier issued an official statement, saying, “Matic, aged 33, has signed a one-year contract with the Giallorossi that will run until June 30, 2023.”
