Real Madrid defeated its guest, Deportivo Alaves, by 3-0, in the match that brought them together on Saturday evening, at the “Santiago Bernabeu”, in the 25th round of the Spanish League competition for the current season 2021-2022.
Real Madrid dominated the game in the first half, but without a real threat to Alaves’ goal, which relied on counter-attacks, to end in a goalless draw.
In the second half, Marco Asensio opened the scoring for the royal team in the 63rd minute of the match, with a superb shot to the right of the guests’ goalkeeper.
The young Brazilian star, Vinicius Junior, added the second goal of Meringue in the 80th minute, after following Karim Benzema’s cross.
Karim Benzema concluded Real Madrid’s hat-trick in the first minute of the match instead of wasting the match through a penalty kick.
Real Madrid strengthened its lead in the Spanish League standings with 57 points, 7 points ahead of runner-up Seville with 50 points, while Alaves’ balance stopped at 20 points in the nineteenth and penultimate place.
