Spanish press reports suggested that the Norwegian international Erling Haaland, the German player of Borussia Dortmund, would play in the colors of Real Madrid during the upcoming summer transfers, after the player confirmed his desire to move to the Spanish League at the end of the current season and not wait for another season with Borussia Dortmund.
According to the Spanish newspaper “AS”, the player wants to wear the Real Madrid shirt strongly, as negotiations between the two parties have reached advanced stages in light of the desire of the agent Mino Raiola to reach a final formula regarding the player’s transfer.
The newspaper pointed out that there is an offer from a group of sponsors with the agent Raiola, who made an offer to continue for one season in Borussia Dortmund, in exchange for the player receiving the salary that he will receive in Real Madrid, provided that he will move to the latter in the following season according to a joint agreement between all parties.
In a related context, press reports revealed that FC Barcelona has left the race to sign Norwegian Erling Haaland, the German star of Borussia Dortmund, during the upcoming summer transfers.
Norwegian Erling Haaland is preparing for a new experience outside the walls of Borussia Dortmund, despite the extension of his contract inside “Signal Iduna Park” until June 2023, amid interest from several clubs, led by Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
The French newspaper, Le 10 Sport, reported that Barcelona will not be able to complete the race to include Borussia Dortmund star Halland, due to the economic crisis affecting the Catalan team.
It added that Barcelona officials need to provide the amount of Erling Haaland’s purchase and his annual salary, in addition to the commission of his father and his agent, which is considered difficult in light of the economic conditions in which the club is living.
It concluded, that Barcelona’s decline gives Paris Saint-Germain a golden opportunity to include Haaland, especially since the French capital club is the second most interested in his inclusion, and it will have a rival with Real Madrid and Manchester City to settle the deal.
