Celta, another option for Mariano

• According to Relevo, the club from Vigo has started contacts with the Madrid striker, who does not count for Carlo Ancelotti

One of the last clubs to show interest in the Hispanic Dominican striker has been Celta de Vigo. According to Relevo, the Galician entity has initiated the first contact to find out about Mariano’s willingness to join the Chacho Coudet project. 

As has been happening with all the clubs that have knocked on his door since Madrid put him on the market at Zidane‘s request in 2019, the main drawback to reaching an agreement is the high salary that Mariano receives, about 4.5 million euros per season. Celta de Vigo cannot assume such a high record and, according to the relay, tries to convince the player with the project.

Celta had Borja Mayoral among their goals, but the striker was transferred today to Getafe and the club from Vigo has turned its interest to Mariano. The striker, to date, has ignored all offers despite the fact that he does not count for Carlo Ancelotti.
