Ancelotti: We will perform well against Paris… and no player can replace Casemiro

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the team’s performance against Real Sociedad is very promising, with a great performance against Paris Saint-Germain, in the Champions League match next Wednesday.

Real Madrid continued its victories in La Liga, after its great victory over its guest, Real Sociedad, 4-1, in the match that brought them together on Saturday evening, at the “Santiago Bernabeu”, as part of the 27th round of La Liga.

Ancelotti said, during his statements after the match: “We played very well, from the beginning the plan was to press high and try to prevent Sociedad from rebounding, things went well and the physical performance was great, playing in this way is likely to do well on Wednesday.”.

He added: “It was an important match because we had the opportunity to increase the difference in La Liga, we enjoyed it, the team understood the importance of the match, we will be very excited on Wednesday, it is the strength that we have to have and the fans are helping us.”

He continued: “Camavinga is an option for Wednesday, we must see the condition of Kroos and Valverde, we have to see who is chosen for the match, the plan does not change, it will be the same, it does not matter if you exclude him in the last period, he knows very well, I spoke to him about the importance that he enjoys.” With him in this team, his youth and quality, next to Casemiro he feels better but he can play in his place without a problem.”

He added, “No player can replace Casemiro, and there is no other player of his quality, another player with different characteristics can be put in his place. If you put Kroos here it will be good to play with the ball, but the defensive characteristics differ from one player to another.”

Real Madrid boosted the top of La Liga standings with 63 points, 8 points ahead of its closest competitor, Seville, the runner-up with 55 points, while Real Sociedad’s balance stopped at 44 points in sixth place.

Yesterday’s confrontation is the last rehearsal for the royal team before facing Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the 16th round of the European Champions League next Wednesday night.
