Carlos Tevez officially announces his retirement from football

Argentine star Carlos Tevez, former Manchester United, Juventus, and Boca Juniors player, has officially announced his retirement from football after many years in European and South American stadiums.

Carlos Tevez left Argentine Boca Juniors last year and has not returned to the field since then, without an official announcement of his retirement.

“Now, enjoy my life, my family, I played a lot and I lost a lot of time too,” the Boca Juniors star said in an interview with Argentina’s “America TV” channel.

He added, “I have retired, that’s for sure, after my father’s death my decision was clear, I received a lot of offers, but the decision was important for my family, as a player I have already given everything I have, this is what makes me calmer now.”

And he continued, “I woke up one day and said I would never go back to the stadium again (with Boca Juniors), I called my agent and told him, that night I spoke with Riquelme and asked him to come to the press conference.”

Speaking about his future, Tevez said, “I will become a coach. I have made the decision. There is a project that I have been working on with my brothers for months. I am very excited about this step.”

It is worth noting that Carlos Tevez played for a number of prominent clubs throughout his career, starting with Boca Juniors, Corinthians, West Ham, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, and Boca Juniors again, then moved to Shanghai Shenhua and finally Boca Juniors for the third time.
