- Paratici does not want to leave Tottenham, despite being a target of the Parisians for some time. Interest has reignited now that Leonardo is in doubt.
Paris Saint-Germain will have to wait to make their “revolution” after the painful defeat against Madrid in the knockout stages of the Champions League. As reported by Cadena SER, PSG will dispense with Leonardo’s services and are looking for a new sports director. The first on the list to replace him was Fabio Paratici, but the Italian’s option is almost ruled out.
The Paris team has been following the Italian for a long time, as reported by The Athletic, and would have contacted him on more occasions – the last one, last summer. However, Tottenham was the one that ended up with the services of Paratici, who has a contract with Spurs until the end of 2022, at least.
Paratici would be very happy with the North London club project because he maintains direct contact with president Daniel Levy and manager Antonio Conte when making important decisions. For this reason, his commitment to the English team is total, as The Athletic explains in the same information.
Contrary to what was speculated in recent days by the Anglo-Saxon press, Nasser Al-Khelfaïfi’s club would not have had contact with Paratici in recent weeks and now PSG would be probing other candidates for the role of director sports.
