The new Oppo A53 5G phone includes an eight-core Dimensity 720 processor from MediaTek, which enables the phone to connect to 5G networks. The processor also offers an improvement in performance compared to the Snapdragon 460 processor from Qualcomm in the Oppo A53 and Oppo A53s.
The new phone from Oppo offers 4 GB or 6 GB random access memory and 128 GB internal storage, but it is not expandable.
The Oppo A53 5G comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, it works at a high refresh rate of 90 Hz, and supports a brightness rate of 480 nits.
On the back of the phone, there is a 16-megapixel main camera with an f / 2.2 lens slot, and a second 2-megapixel camera with an f / 2.4 lens slot, which is dedicated to photographing close-up objects. As for the third camera, it comes with a resolution of 2 megapixels as well, which is intended for shooting depth. The 8-megapixel front camera located in the hole in the screen in the upper left corner comes with an f / 2.0 aperture.
Unexpectedly, the Oppo A53 5G has a 4,040mAh battery, compared to the other A53 models, which has a 5,000mAh battery. The battery charges a capacity of 10 watts. There is a fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone built into the power button. The phone supports two SIM cards.
Programmatically, the phone – which weighs 175 grams and comes with a thickness of 7.9 mm – works with the ColorOS 7.2 user interface based on Google’s Android 10 operating system.
The new Oppo A53 5G phone is available from OPPO in China at a price equivalent to about $ 200.
