Watch the goals of the match between Egypt and Morocco in the quarter-finals of the African Nations


 With the chimes of five in the evening today, the national team will meet with its Moroccan counterpart in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Championship, which will be held in Cameroon and will continue until February 6.

The start of the match came quickly on the part of Morocco, and Ashraf Hakimi managed to get a penalty kick in the 4th minute after Ayman Ashraf blocked him in the penalty area. Sofiane Boufal executed it brilliantly and netted Mohamed Abu Jabal, announcing Morocco’s advance with a goal.

The Moroccan team returns with a dangerous opportunity in the 32nd minute from a direct free kick at the doorstep of the Pharaohs penalty area, executed by Ashraf Hakimi, but it passes next to the left post of Mohamed Abu Jabal.

 

In the second half, Carlos Queiroz made the first change, with Mahmoud Trezeguet going instead of Ahmed Hegazy for injury, and Ayman Ashraf participated in the Masak Center next to Mohamed Abdel Moneim.


 

In the 50th minute, Trezeguet threatened Morocco’s goal, taking advantage of a pass from Mohamed Salah inside the Moroccan penalty area, to shoot a powerful shot that passed next to the right post of the Atlantic Lions goalkeeper, and Mohamed Salah succeeded in scoring the equalizer for Egypt in the 54th minute, taking advantage of a cross shot by Mohamed Abdel Moneim with his head in the direction of the goal. Yassine Bounou to bounce and waddle to Mohamed Salah, who easily puts her in the Moroccan goal.

 

The Moroccan team returns to launch invasions against Abu Jabal after a draw, hoping to score the second goal through Youssef Nassiri and Sofiane Boufal, but finds great steadfastness on the part of Egypt’s defenders.


 

In the 80th minute, Queiroz pushes a new change by landing Ahmed Sayed Zizou instead of Omar Marmoush, and Abu Jabal saves his goal in the 82nd minute from a dangerous Moroccan header, so the tie continues 1-1, and the original time ends with a 1-1 draw, so both teams resort to overtime.

In the 100th minute of the match, Mahmoud Trezeguet, Egypt’s national team player, scored the first goal against Morocco.
