The goals of the match between Morocco and Malawi in the African Nations Cup


Morocco qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup, after winning a dramatic victory over Malawi, 2-1, in the match that was held between them on Tuesday evening, at the “Ahmedou Ahidjo” stadium in Yaounde, in the 16th round of the final round. The African Nations, currently in Cameroon, will run until February 6.

Gabadinho Mahango scored the goal for Malawi with a superb long-range missile that did not stop and did not respond to goalkeeper Yassin Bono in the seventh minute of the start of the match.

 

Youssef El-Nuseiri scored the equalizer for Morocco in the last minute of the first half with a superb header, then Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi scored the second goal for Morocco in the 70th minute of the match through a direct free kick that he shot superbly in netting.

The Moroccan team faced Malawi with the following formation: Goalkeepers: Yassin Bounou / Defense line: Massina, Ghanem Sais, Nayef Akrad, Ashraf Hakimi / Midfield: Sofiane Amrabet, Salim Amlah, Imran Louza / Forwards: Sofiane Boufal, Ayoub Al Kaabi, Youssef Nasiri.

It is scheduled to face Morocco in the quarter-finals, the winner of the confrontation of Egypt with Côte d’Ivoire, which is scheduled for six in the evening tomorrow, Wednesday.

The Lions are looking for the second continental title, after winning the only African Nations Cup in its history in the 1976 edition.

Morocco qualified for the top of Group C, with 7 points, after beating Ghana 1-0, Comoros 2-0 and drawing with Gabon 2-2.
