CAF published a statement, on its official website, saying, “The CAF Awards Ceremony returns on July 21. The awards ceremony will be held on July 21, 2022, honoring the best African talents in Morocco, and presenting a new category for the best club player for the year.”
Mohamed Salah won the African Player of the Year award twice in his career, the first in 2017, when he won the award with 625 points, beating the duo Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
