Microsoft has released a new update to its Your Phone app, which allows users to run Android applications on Windows 10.
The Your Phone app is an ideal way to control an Android device from a computer. With the new update, anyone who owns some (Galaxy) Galaxy phones from Samsung can run multiple applications while using the application on a computer.
Initially, the Your Phone app was only able to run one app at a time, but now multiple apps can run simultaneously from the desktop.
Microsoft announced the update in a post on its blog, and made clear that users can take advantage of the new feature, provided they own specific models of Galaxy devices; To be able to control more than one application on the Android device from the computer.
It is reported that this feature is currently available for Samsung devices running Android 10, which have integration with the Link to Windows feature, namely: Galaxy Note 20 5G, Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
The feature is available on Samsung devices that integrate with the Link to Windows feature registered in the OneUI 3.0 Beta user interface program from Samsung, and run Android 11, namely: Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20 Plus 5G, and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.
It’s worth noting that there are some limitations, and this includes: Issues with some touchscreen games. The phone will also need to be connected to the same network to connect multiple applications, and cast them to the desktop.
It is not clear how many applications can run together with the Your Phone app, but it may be limited by the amount of RAM the device has.
