MediaTek continues to strive to provide more economical 5G phones, and the latest step in this direction is the announcement of the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor, a processor based on 7nm manufacturing technology similar to the recently announced MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor.
The most important component of the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor is its arrival with a 5G modem that supports a download speed of up to 2.77 Gbps and seamless transitions between the 5G spectrums. Moreover, this modem used here supports Dual SIM, Dual Standby and VoNR, as well as support for the global 5G NR range, and MediaTek 5G UltraSave technology that aims to save energy.
The new MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor includes two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz, and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. This processor can be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 fast storage memory.
In addition, the new MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor also includes the Mali-G57 MC2 graphics processor, and supports FullHD + screens with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, as well as a 64-megapixel camera that can shoot FullHD videos at a maximum rate of 30 frames per second.
