Italian press reports suggested that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen would enter the interest of Manchester United to compensate for the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo during the next summer transfer period, to support the ranks of the Red Devils next season.
According to the “Ray Sport” network, Napoli wants to obtain a large financial consideration of up to 100 million euros to waive the services of its international striker during the next summer transfer period.
Osimhen has scored 11 goals in 22 games this season and has been out of action for nearly two months due to a cheekbone injury. He has scored twice in six matches since returning to action in January.
The report stressed that Manchester United had already made contact with Napoli and the Nigerian player’s agent to find out his position on agreeing to join Manchester United starting next season.
The report indicated that if Napoli sell Osimene in the summer, Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamaca will become their main target in the attack, and the Italian international also attracted the interest of Inter Milan and Milan.
According to the famous Italian journalist Ciro Venerato, the 22-year-old is the main target for Manchester United against Cristiano Ronaldo in 2022-23.
The Portuguese striker returned to Old Trafford from Juventus in the summer in a deal worth 15 million euros, in addition to an additional 8 million euros.
