UEFA reveals the date of the draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Champions League


 
The European Football Association “UEFA” revealed the date of the draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Champions League for the current season 2021-2022, which will be held in the Swiss city of Nyon.

The European Football Association announced that the draw will be held on Friday, March 18, with the participation of the eight clubs that will win the first and second leg matches in the round of 16.

It is scheduled to participate in the draw for the winning teams in the round of sixteen of the Champions League, which will start this evening, the return matches with two matches that will bring together Liverpool against Inter Milan, and Bayern Munich against Leipzig.


The clubs for the Round of 16 matches include the following teams:

Sporting Lisbon (Portugal) / Manchester City (England). 

Paris Saint-Germain (France) / Real Madrid (Spain). 

Salzburg (Australia) / Bayern Munich (Germany). 

Inter (Italy) / Liverpool (England). 

Chelsea (England) / Lusc Lille (France). 

Villarreal (Spain) / Juventus (Italy). 

Benfica (Portugal) / Ajax (Netherlands). 

Atletico (Spain) / Manchester United (England).


The European Champions League harvest has so far witnessed exciting numbers before the start of the second leg of the 16th round of the European Champions League, with 104 matches out of 125 that the continental competition will witness so far.

The number of goals so far has reached 317 goals, at a rate of one goal per minute, at a rate of 3.05 goals per game.

The most goals were scored during the period between the 75th and 90th minutes, when 45 goals were scored, while the last quarter of the first half came with only 6 goals.

Manchester City and Bayern Munich lead the most goals scored with 23 goals each, while Chelsea topped the possession rate with 60.9% during their matches in the tournament.

While Manchester City came first in the ranking of clubs with the most accurate passes with 90.7, Bayern Munich topped the attempts on goal with 129 attacks on goal.

Ajax striker Haller is the top scorer in the tournament with 11 goals, while Portuguese Bruno Fernandes is the king of the club in the Champions League with 7 goals.

In shooting at the goal, Riyad Mahrez was in the lead with 15 balls, only one difference from Mohamed Salah and Haller.
