Mohamed Salah, the star of the Egyptian national team in the ranks of Liverpool, congratulated the Egyptian fans after defeating Morocco and qualifying for the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations currently being held in Cameroon.
Salah said in televised statements, “The confrontation with Morocco was difficult and we were able to win the match, and I congratulate the Egyptian fans for winning.”
Egypt qualified for the semi-finals of the African Nations Championship, after beating Morocco with two goals against one goal, in the match that brought them together today at Ahmedou Ahidjo Stadium, to face Cameroon in the semi-finals.
The original time ended with a 1-1 draw, and Morocco’s Sofiane Boufal advanced in the 5th minute with a penalty kick in the first half, before Mohamed Salah equalized for the Pharaohs in the 54th minute, and Mahmoud Trezeguet scored the second goal in the first overtime.
The Egyptian team started the match with a formation that includes Mohamed Abu Jabal in goalkeeping, Omar Kamal Abdel Wahed, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Ahmed Hegazy, Ahmed Fattouh, Mohamed Elneny, Amr Al-Sulayya, Ayman Ashraf, Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush and Mustafa Mohamed.
