- The Uruguayan has lost his temper and leaves Liverpool with one less
The successful landing of Darwin Núñez in the Premier League has just blown up in the Uruguayan striker’s first start with Liverpool at Anfield.
In the 57th minute and with 0-1 in favor of Crystal Palace shining on the scoreboard, Darwin collided with one of the visiting central defenders, Andersen, and after a brief brush, he turned and headed him in the chest and the face.
Both the striker and the defender had been having their ups and downs for a while and finally the Uruguayan lost his temper with a childish outburst that condemned Liverpool to play outnumbered for more than half an hour.
Paul Tierney, the match official, did not need a VAR review and he was shown the direct red card before showing him the way to the locker room.
