The English club Liverpool, the professional within its Egyptian ranks, Mohamed Salah, announced the condition of its injured players before facing Chelsea tomorrow at Wembley Stadium in the English capital, London, in the final of the English League Cup.
Liverpool confirmed the return of the Portuguese Diego Jota after his recovery, while the Brazilian Firmino continued his absence from the decisive match.
And Liverpool published a statement on its official website saying, “Diogo Jota may be with the team in the Carabao Cup final tomorrow, while Roberto Firmino is officially absent.”
A Liverpool statement added, “Jota and Firmino continue to recover from injury, but only Jota has a chance to participate tomorrow as Firmino is far from returning to training.”
Jordan Henderson, the professional player for the Liverpool team, confirmed that the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, that everyone in the Reds will do everything in their power to win the English League Cup, before facing Chelsea, which is scheduled to be held next Sunday, at Wembley Stadium in the English capital, London.
Henderson said in the match press conference, “We will do our best to win the Carabao Cup. It is a very big moment of the season to achieve an early title, which could represent a big boost for the team. It is the cup final and we want to win, so we will make sure to perform the best to return the title to Liverpool.”
Henderson added, “Chelsea is a very strong team and they will strive to win another title, but we want to win this final and we see it as an opportunity to build confidence and improve the mood before the end of the season. It will not be an easy match.”
And the Liverpool player continued, “We have to treat this match like any other and focus strongly on the task at hand. Of course, I can help the team through my experience and my participation in previous finals, but as a team, the situation has not changed.”
