Samsung is supposed to officially unveil the Galaxy S21 lineup on January 14, and there won’t be much to speculate about until then, thanks to a set of leaked detailed specifications and a variety of previous leaks, in addition to the ability to book the initial order of the phone if you want it.
The new leak confirms some of the details that appeared previously, such as the transition from the screens slightly curved around the edges of the device to the completely flat screens, and the redesigned camera that merges with the edges of the phone.
The leaks managed to identify some new details, including the slightly lower screen resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus, compared to the 3200 x 1440 pixels used in the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus.
This resolution equates to a density of 421 pixels per inch for the Galaxy S21 at 6.2 inches and 394 pixels per inch for the Galaxy S21 Plus at a measuring 6.7 inches, and both provide refresh rates of 120Hz and 60Hz, like their predecessors.
While the previous leak provided some details about the Galaxy S21 Ultra camera, the new leak confirms more information about the cameras on the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus.
It seems that the main camera unit of the new models is the same as that used in the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus, which consists of a sensor measuring 1 / 1.76 inches with a resolution of 12 megapixels with aperture of f / 1.8 and a lens equivalent to 26 mm with optical stabilization, along with the ultra-wide lens of 12 megapixels. And the front camera is 10 megapixels.
However, the telephoto camera appears to be different, as it is slightly smaller than the 1 / 1.76-inch sensor used in the Galaxy S20 devices compared to the new 1 / 1.72-inch sensor.
Resolution and pixel size are similar at 64MP and 0.8μm, respectively, and the telephoto camera appears to be optically stabilized and looks to offer 3x optical zoom thanks to folded optics, with hybrid optical and digital zoom available.
It appears that Samsung has removed the ToF sensor from the S21 Plus, and both models are getting the ability to record videos at 8K resolution at 30 frames per second.
It is clear that the S21 will still be equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, while the S21 Plus gets a larger 4,800mAh battery.
The sources of the leaks confirm that the specifications of the phone with the Exynos 2100 processor from Samsung for the European version, and it is possible that the Snapdragon 888 will appear in American devices.
The S21 and S21 Plus offer up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, and both models include 5G modems.
It is noteworthy that Samsung has not confirmed the final specifications, availability, and price, and sources indicate 849 euros for the S21 phone and 1049 euros for the S21 Plus phone.
