French striker Karim Benzema, Real Madrid’s star, reached the ninth place in the list of historical scorers in the Spanish League, after scoring a goal in his team’s wide victory over its guest Real Sociedad, with a score of 4-1, in the competitions of the twenty-seventh round of the League for the current season 2021-2022.
Benzema scored Real Madrid’s third goal against Real Sociedad from a penalty kick, in the 76th minute of the match, to reach 112 goals in the Spanish League in 407 matches, and becomes the ninth player to score goals in the history of the competition, equal to the previous player Bahinho.
The Argentine star, Lionel Messi, the current French player of Paris Saint-Germain and the former Barcelona, is the top scorer in the Spanish League historically with 474 goals.
Benzema managed to reach his 20th goal during the current season in the Spanish League for the fourth consecutive season, becoming the seventh player in the history of the competition to reach this achievement after Edmundo, Di Stefano, Hugo Sanchez, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.
Benzema strengthened his lead in the league’s top scorer this season, with 20 goals, 7 goals ahead of his closest competitor.
