Spain won a deserved victory at the expense of its counterpart Portugal, 1-0, during the match that was held between them, Tuesday evening, at the “Municipal” stadium, in the sixth and final round of the group stage of the 2022-2023 European Nations League.

The only goal of the match came through Alvaro Morata in the 89th-minute match, to snatch the qualification card for the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League for the current season 2022-2023 from the second group.

Spain topped the standings of Group B in the European Nations League with 11 points from winning 3 matches, drawing 2, and losing one, scoring 8 goals and receiving 5.

While Portugal was in second place in the standings of Group B of the European Nations League with 10 points collected from winning 3 matches, drawing 1 and losing 2, scoring 11 goals, and receiving 3.

The match witnessed continuous attempts by the Portugal team, who tried to take advantage of the land and the fans who were present in the stadium, but his attempts were unsuccessful until the last minutes of the match before Alvaro Morata managed in the 89th minute to score the first goal for Matador.
