Barcelona has officially announced that it has reached an agreement with Brazilian goalkeeper Neto Morara regarding the termination of the contract that extended until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
The club said in its statement, “FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Neto Morara regarding the termination of the Brazilian goalkeeper’s contract, which extended until the end of the 2022-2023 season. Thank you, Neto, and good luck in the rest of your career!”
This comes after the English club Bournemouth announced an official contract with Barcelona goalkeeper Neto during the current summer transfer period. Bournemouth issued an official statement, announcing the inclusion of Barcelona goalkeeper Neto in a free transfer deal, after his contract was terminated by mutual consent with the Catalan team.
The statement said that Barca goalkeeper Neto, 33, signed a one-year contract, to continue with Bournemouth until June 2023.
Bournemouth began its Premier League campaign by defeating Aston Villa 2-0 in the first round of the Premier League.
Neto arrived in Barcelona in the summer of 2019 and on December 10 of the same year he made his debut as a striker, in the Champions League match against Inter Milan, which ended with Barcelona winning (1-2).
The Brazilian goalkeeper played 21 games for Barcelona and kept six clean sheets.
