The Italian club Parma officially announced the renewal of the contract of its veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon until June 2024, and Gianluigi Buffon’s contract with the Italian team Parma was supposed to expire today, February 28, 2022.
Parma club, through its official account on the social networking site “Twitter”, revealed the renewal of the contract of veteran goalkeeper Buffon until June 2024.
Buffon expressed his great happiness at renewing his contract with the Italian club Parma, and continuing with him for a longer period until June 2024.
On his part, Parma president Kyle Krause said of Buffon’s contract renewal, “Hello everyone! I have good news: Gigi has renewed his contract until 2024! He’s a fantastic player and it’s a great honor for us.”
The Parma president added, “In addition to his great leadership skills, he is someone with great skills. Gigi has a great passion for Parma, it’s great that we can see him every day. We are very happy for his support and commitment.”
Buffon, 44, participated in 23 matches this season in all competitions, conceded 23 goals and came out with clean sheets in 8 matches.
Buffon had returned to Parma again in the summer of 2021, coming from Juventus, after the expiration of his contract with the Bianconeri.
