Today, Tuesday, Saudi press reports revealed that French coach Rudi Garcia, the technical director of the Saudi Al-Nasr Club, decided to dispense with 3 players from the team, during the current summer transfer market.
Al-Nasr Club signed Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina, and Ivorian left-back Gislan Konan, free of charge.
According to a Saudi newspaper, Garcia asked the club’s management to get rid of the trio, goalkeeper Walid Abdullah, left-back Mohamed Qassem, and striker Abdel Fattah Adam.
The newspaper added, “Al-Nasr officials are discussing with the three players, marketing them to other clubs, or rescinding their contracts by mutual consent, while giving them the freedom to choose their new teams.”
Al-Nasr finished his season in the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League, ranking third.
A state of mystery dominated the fate of Mohamed Abu Jabal, the goalkeeper for the first football team of the Egyptian Club “Zamalek” after the Saudi Al-Nasr team contracted with Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina in a free transfer deal, where the former Napoli goalkeeper signed a two-year contract with Al-Alamy.
After Abu Jabal was one step away from wearing the Saudi victory shirt in the new season, especially after he had previously signed for the Saudi club and obtained the contract provider, things turned upside down and the Al Nasr administration declined to complete the contract and decided to include Ospina.
The Saudi Al-Nasr team is currently looking for a suitable offer to loan Muhammad Abu Jabal to one of the Saudi League clubs, or the player may transfer to any other team according to his desire.
Ospina’s contract expired at the end of last season, and he refused to renew the Italian team before Al-Nassr entered into negotiations with him and signed with him.
