Manchester City strengthened its lead in Premier League standings, after its wide victory over its neighbor Manchester United 4-1, in the derby meeting that brought them together on Sunday evening, at the “Etihad” stadium, in the twenty-eighth round of the Premier League for the current season 2021-2022.

Manchester City raised its score to 69 points at the top of Premier League standings, 6 points ahead of its closest rivals, the professional team Liverpool, in its ranks, the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
The City quartet scored against United, Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez each scored two goals, while Jadon Sancho scored the Devils’ only goal.
Liverpool is in second place with 63 points from 27 games, and it has a game in hand, after its difficult victory over West Ham United, on Saturday evening, with a goal scored by Senegalese star Sadio Mane.
Chelsea came in third place with 53 points, after its great victory over its host Burnley team, 4-0, then Arsenal in fourth place with 48 points, after its difficult victory over its host Watford 3-2.
Manchester United is fifth with 47 points, then West Ham United is sixth with 45 points.
The 28th round of the Premier League will conclude on Monday evening with a meeting between Tottenham Hotspur and its guest, Everton.
