Manchester United fans chanted against Liverpool, describing them as killers during the current gathering to protest the continuation of the current management of the club’s owners at the helm of Old Trafford Castle, despite the decline in results over the past years.
Manchester United fans threw a Liverpool bus before the match and were chanting against the Reds and their supporters, calling them killers a few hours before the expected match.
The two clubs meet Manchester United against Liverpool today, Monday, in the match scheduled to be held at eight in the evening, Monday, London time, at the “Old Trafford” stadium, in the third round of the Premier League for the current season 2022-2023.
Dan Sheldon, the correspondent of the British network, “The Athletic”, monitored the attack by Manchester United fans on the Liverpool club bus.
The fans are present in one of Manchester United’s arenas, in preparation for a protest march demanding the departure of the club’s management as soon as possible.
The two teams enter tonight’s confrontation under the slogan “There is no alternative to winning”, as Liverpool and Manchester United are looking for the first victory in the new season of the Premier League.
Liverpool occupies the 12th place in the Premier League table with only two points, while Manchester United is in the last place without credit.
Liverpool tied the opening two matches of its career in the new version of the Premier League against Fulham and Crystal Palace, respectively. This is the first time that Liverpool have failed to win the first two matches in the Premier League since the arrival of German coach Jurgen Klopp to coach the team in 2015.
Meanwhile, Manchester United lost their first two Premier League games this season, as they suffered a heavy defeat against their host Brentford team, 4-0, at “Griffin Park”, in the second round matches, which were preceded by a 2-1 defeat against Brighton.
