• The forecast is that he will join Barça’s discipline on Wednesday or Thursday of next week to face the final stretch of his recovery

Ansu Fati

The return of Ansu Fati (20 years old) to the discipline of FC Barcelona is approaching. The Barça striker was injured on January 20 in San Mamés, in the Copa del Rey match in which the Barça team was eliminated. Ansu suffered an injury to the proximal tendon of the biceps femoris in his left leg. So, the club proposed a surgical solution to his problem. The soccer player, advised by his agent, Jorge Mendes, opted for conservative treatment, trusting that he would turn out well and that the recovery period would be shorter than if he had undergone surgery. The forecast was that he would be about eight weeks off.

After going to Madrid to recover him with the physiotherapist Joaquín Juan, Jorge Mendes trusted because he was the one who treated Cristiano Ronaldo in the capital, the time has come for Ansu to rejoin the Barça discipline. According to the forecast of Xavi’s technical staff, Fati is expected to return to the culé discipline next week, after the international commitments of the national teams.

After the national team matches

Specifically, the planning is to already have the presence of the young striker at the Barça facilities between Wednesday and Thursday of next week to face the final stretch of his recovery. Upon arrival, ten weeks after his injury, he will undergo several medical check-ups related to the state of his ailment.

Later, to discharge

From there, what is expected is that Ansu can gradually join the team’s work dynamics and that he can be the protagonist in an official match after another 15 or 20 days working with the group. Thus, his discharge is expected, if there are no setbacks, for the second half of April. There’s no rush with Fati because the most important thing for Xavi is for him to come back one hundred percent after his injury.

Ansu has made the bulk of his recovery in Madrid, where he has been accompanied by his brother but has gone to the Camp Nou to watch all the games that the first team played at home, taking advantage of these visits to be examined by the medical services of the club and to speak with the technical staff about his recovery process. He was also last Sunday at the Santiago Bernabéu watching the Clásico and celebrating with his teammates in the locker room.
