The Spanish team Almeria achieved a moral victory over its counterpart Velez, with a goal free of charge, in the friendly confrontation that took place between them on Sunday evening, in preparation for the start of the new season of competition “La Liga” 2022-2023.
Nicolas Maras scored the winning goal for Almeria in the sixth minute of the match.
This match is the first friendly that Almeria is playing in the preparatory camp this summer in preparation for the start of the new season of the la Liga.
Almeria is scheduled to meet in the next friendly match against Cordoba on July 23, followed by the San Fernando match on July 24, and then meet with Malaga on the 29th of the same month. The rest of the preparatory matches are as follows:
- Almeria x Granada – July 30
- Almeria x Saudi Crescent – August 7
- Almeria x Cartagena – 5 August
The Almeria team, returning to La Liga, will open its campaign in the new season of the Spanish League with a fiery confrontation against Real Madrid, the champion of the competition, on Sunday, August 14, at the Mediterranean Games Stadium.
In the second round, Almeria will meet with its Elche counterpart, on August 22, at Martinez Valero Stadium, followed by the match against Seville in the third round of the la Liga on the 27th of the same month.
Almeria tied with Leganes 2-2 in the 42nd round of the Spanish second division, to finish the season at the top of the table with 81 points, to qualify for the League competitions for the first time since the 2014-2015 season.
