Bayern Munich defeated its guest Leipzig 3-2 in the exciting match that brought them together on Saturday evening at the Allianz Arena, as part of the twenty-first round of the German Bundesliga for the current season 2021-2022.
Thomas Muller, the Bavarian captain, opened the scoring for Bayern in the 12th minute of the first half, then Andre Silva equalized for the visitors in the 27th minute.
In the second half, Christopher Nkunku scored the equalizing goal for the visitors in the 53rd minute, before Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol scored the third goal of the Bavarian team in the 58th minute by an own goal.
Bayern Munich strengthened its lead in the German League standings this season with 52 points, 9 points ahead of Borussia Dortmund, the runner-up with 43 points, while Leipzig’s balance stopped at 31 points in seventh place.
The matches of the 21st round of the German League will be completed tomorrow, Sunday, with the matches of Borussia Dortmund with its guest Bayer Leverkusen, and Wolfsburg hosting Grouter Fürth.
