According to a Chinese press report, Huawei’s Vice President of Software, Mao Yumin, announced that on December 16, the Beta version for Hongmeng mobile phone developers will adopt a new design language.
The Huawei Mate 40 series will be upgraded first. Although this version is a beta version and not an unofficial version, we have at least unveiled the mystery of the Hongmeng OS mobile version, and finally the Hongmeng OS is coming.
It is reported that as early as May 2016, Huawei decided to build the Hongmeng system internally, laying out potential future market and technology trends.
The primary innovation is to treat standalone IoT devices as different units of communication. Therefore, Hongmeng OS is an operating system developed for the internet of everything, and mobile phones are only an important end of the entire ecosystem.
Wang Qinglu, head of Huawei’s Consumer Business Software division, once revealed that more than 90% of Huawei models currently on the market will be upgraded to Hongmeng.
But for now, Hongmeng OS will give priority to adaptation to the latest mobile phone models, namely, the latest Huawei Mate 40 series.
In the future, Huawei will continue to adapt to the already released models, and most Huawei phones can be upgraded to Hongmeng.
The gradual transition of Huawei mobile phones from Android to Hongmeng is clearly the general trend.
