Leeds United have officially announced the appointment of Jesse Marsh as the team’s new coach, succeeding Marcelo Bielsa, who was sacked yesterday.

 

 

Speaking about the appointment, Leeds United Director of Football Victor Orta said: “We are delighted to welcome Jesse to the club and are excited that he will lead us into this new chapter.”
Orta added: “Jesse is someone we identified several years ago during his time at Red Bull Salzburg, and we believe his philosophy and style of football are in line with the club’s philosophy and would suit the players very well.”
“We have a long-term plan in place and we firmly believe he can take Leeds United to the next level and we are excited about what the future holds.”
“While Jesse’s short-term goal is clear, we believe he has the courage and ambition to build on the strong foundations we have built over the past four years and advance the club’s long-term performance,” Kinnear continued.
He continued: “He has been a huge success with the New York Red Bulls and Red Bull Salzburg and has shown in our many meetings that he fits perfectly into the football culture at Leeds United.”
He concluded: “In this difficult time, it is important for the club to remain united from top to bottom, the fans have been amazing throughout Andrea’s tenure and we have no doubt they will unite behind Jesse and ensure that the team quickly returns to winning in st
