FA Cup: Summary and goals of the Chelsea match against Crystal Palace

 Chelsea qualified for the FA Cup final, after defeating Crystal Palace, 2-0, in the match that took place between them at Wembley Stadium, in the semi-finals of the tournament for the current season 2021-2022.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored the winning goal for Chelsea in the 65th minute of the match, then Mason Mount added the Blues’ second goal in the 76th minute.

With this result, Chelsea qualifies to face Liverpool in the final, after it qualified at the expense of its rival Manchester City 3-2 in the match that was held on Saturday evening at Wembley Stadium in the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the current season 2021-2022.

Chelsea’s line-up against Crystal Palace is as follows:

Chelsea qualified for the FA Cup semi-finals, after beating Middlesbrough 2-1 in the quarter-finals, while Crystal Palace advanced to the same role after overcoming Everton by 4-0.

Chelsea is competing for the only title remaining during the current season 2021-2022, after losing the opportunity to compete for 3 titles: the Premier League, the English League Cup and the European Champions League, respectively.

Chelsea, the defending champions, were recently expelled from the Champions League after losing to Real Madrid 5-4 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.

The Blues are also in third place in the Premier League standings this season with 62 points, and have moved away from the opportunity to compete for the most expensive title in England, where the conflict is limited between the leaders Manchester City with 73 points and Liverpool, the runner-up with 72 points, to crown the championship.
