Sevilla qualified with difficulty to the round of 16 of the European League, despite losing to its host, Dinamo Zagreb, the Croatian team, with a clean goal, in the second leg of the knockout round, which brought them together on Thursday evening, at the “Maximir” stadium.
Seville had won the first leg, 3-1, which was held last Thursday in Spain.
The goal of Dinamo Zagreb’s victory in the match was scored by Mislav Arosic from a penalty kick in the 65th minute, and Andalusian player Thomas Delaney was sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the first minute of time instead of wasted for the match.
In another match, Italy’s Atalanta qualified for the same round, after repeating its 3-0 victory over its host Olympiacos, in the match that brought them together at the “Karaiskakis” stadium.
The Italian team’s hat-trick was scored by Joachim Mahle, Ruslan Malinovsky in the 40th, 66th and 69th minutes with the age of the match, after winning the first leg with a score of 2-1.
The German Leipzig also qualified at the expense of Real Sociedad, by winning it 3-1, and the first leg was decided by a positive tie with a score of 2-2.
