Belkin announces the second MagSafe charging platform

Belkin announced during CES 2021 its new BoostCharge Pro wireless charger that supports MagSafe charging, which comes at a price of $ 100.

And ever since Apple unveiled its new MagSafe charging standard, officially certified wireless chargers that use this standard have been few and far between, but Belkin is trying to change that.

Similar to the BoostCharge Pro MagSafe Wireless Charger, the new wireless charger can charge two products instead of three.

The device now provides only a MagSafe pad and a regular Qi charger for AirPods or any other device that fits, with the Apple Watch charger located in the previous charging dock.

Like the BoostCharge Pro wireless charger, the new charger is an official Apple-certified MFi-certified MagSafe device, which means it’s one of the few options available to take advantage of the faster 15W MagSafe Wireless Charger.

The charger provides 15W charging for iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, and includes an improved charging pad for AirPods Pro and AirPods with a second-generation wireless charging case.

The new BoostCharge Pro MagSafe wireless charger is scheduled to launch later this year in March or April when it will be available via Apple and Belkin websites.

Besides the new wireless charger, Belkin also announced its second line of Soundform Freedom wireless earbuds, with the original Soundform headphones coming at $ 60.

Belkin aspires to achieve greater heights with the Soundform Freedom headphones, as the new headphones feature a better battery life of up to eight hours, with an additional 20 hours in the holster, USB-C charging, and improved background noise isolation, despite the lack of active noise cancellation.

Notably, the Soundform Freedom earbuds will also be one of the first third-party products to work with Apple’s Find My network, something Apple announced it was offering as an option last year.

Similar to Apple’s AirPods, you can use the Find My app across iPhones and Macs to locate lost headphones using the same crowdsourcing network for Apple products that Apple devices can use.

The Soundform Freedom earbuds also offer Qi and USB-C charging and interchangeable ear tips and are IPX5 rated for splash resistance.
