Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov opened fire on Frenchman Osman Dembele, despite renewing his contract with the administration to stay at the Camp Nou until June 2024, after the previous contract expired last June.
Stoichkov said in a press statement, published by the Spanish daily AS on Sunday, about Dembele, “The opinion of Dembele is still the same, the matter has not changed, let’s see what happens in the coming period, we are talking about a player we signed for 150 million euros.”

And the Bulgarian legend added, “Dembele was injured and missed 120 games, played 20 games and scored 10 goals. It is clear that he did not learn anything during his five years in Barcelona .”
“I hope that Osman wakes up and becomes smarter, and listens to Xavi’s advice, and if this does not happen, he will find himself in the museum and then have to watch the players who will participate in his same position in order to learn how to play in Barcelona,” Stoichkov added.
And about his favorite Barcelona player at the moment, he said: “Pedre, without a doubt, Lewandowski? I am very happy to have signed him, he is not only a striker who scores many goals, he is able to do many things, he has the ability to make a difference in the penalty area, it is a great deal.”
