The coach of Osasuna, Jagoba Arrasate, stated after conceding a thrashing against Barcelona at the Camp Nou (4-0), that the host was “far superior” and that his team, after 3-0 at half-time, tried to “maintain dignity and pride.

The coach highlighted the high level of the host throughout the match: “It was not our day; the rival has surpassed us. They have played a great game and have been very precise in circulation. We, in addition, have shown little opposition. He’s put it all together.”

On a tactical level, Arrasate commented that his intention was to further close the rival’s circulation, although Barcelona “stretched their midfielders a lot” and achieved one-on-one situations against the full-backs that did “a lot of damage”, as he confessed.

Asked about the evolution of Barcelona since they met in the first round (2-2), the coach highlighted the progress of the Catalan team: “They are developing an idea and the automatisms have been better. They have more punch up front than the team they we faced each other in El Sadar”.
